In China, a chimpanzee threw a stone at a zoo visitor's head for no reason
A crowd of spectators gathered around the outdoor enclosure of a chimpanzee named Diunaxing. They watched the monkey play when it picked up a stone from the ground. Diunaxing began running around the enclosure with it, then suddenly swung it and threw it into the crowd for no apparent reason. It was caught on video. The stone hit one of the zoo visitors in the head.
Zoo staff immediately rushed to the injured man. He was taken to the hospital. Doctors determined that the visitor's injuries were minor. He has since returned to his hotel. Nanning Zoo officials said the chimpanzee would not be punished. They noted that they respect the habits of wild animals.
Diunaxing is known for his playful and somewhat aggressive behavior. Last year, he became popular online thanks to videos in which he throws flowers and pieces of grass at zoo visitors.
