Pranksters fooled the Louvre's security system and hung their own painting

Belgian bloggers smuggled their own painting into the Louvre. They displayed it in the same room as Leonardo da Vinci's "Mona Lisa." For some time, museum staff ignored the new "exhibit."

The Belgian bloggers smuggled their "masterpiece" into the Louvre and even hung it there. They chose a prime location – next to da Vinci's "Mona Lisa." Right in front of the museum entrance, they prepared a collapsible frame for the painting, made of Lego bricks. The "canvas" was rolled into a tube and easily passed all the security checks and frames. They weren't even stopped when they hung their painting on the wall next to the genuine pieces.

It's unknown how long the fake artwork hung in the Louvre.
