In Iran, they came up with a harsh way to force drivers to obey traffic rules

Local residents reported that engineers have developed a traffic control mechanism with metal spikes embedded in the road surface. When driving in the right direction, the spikes disappear, but when driving in the opposite direction, they remain sharp and capable of puncturing tires. Authorities are confident this measure will quickly discourage violators from driving in the oncoming lane.
