The Last of Pagani Huayra BC Roadsters Are Sold for $5.7-6 Million (48 photos)

RM Sotheby's has opened bidding for a unique Pagani hypercar as part of its Sealed private auction program. This is the final, 40th example of the Huayra BC roadster, dubbed the Quaranta, and has driven less than 120 kilometers since production. It is expected to fetch between $5.7 million and $6 million.





While Pagani introduced the base Huayra, its second after the Zonda, in 2011, the more powerful and lightweight BC version of the supercar only appeared five years later. The coupe debuted in 2016, and the open-top version only hit the market in 2019.

The main differences in the BC version are the lighter body and increased engine output, a turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 from Mercedes-AMG. While it initially produced 730 hp, the Roadster BC's output has been boosted to 800 hp and 1,050 Nm. The engine is mated to a seven-speed sequential gearbox. Pagani engineers also managed to reduce the supercar's weight by 30 kilograms by optimizing the materials used for the body panels and exhaust system.

The Pagani Huayra Roadster BC weighs 1,250 kilograms. Meanwhile, the roadster's aerodynamic fins generate up to 500 kilograms of downforce at speeds of approximately 250 km/h.

The final roadster features an original two-tone exterior paint job and special interior trim, as well as multiple decorative elements featuring the number 40 and the colors of the Italian flag. The car is located in the United States and was delivered to its first and only owner in April 2022.
