A 3D-Printed Hypercar Outperformed Its Competitors on Five Tracks (6 photos + 1 video)
In California, the Czinger 21C hypercar staged a veritable record-breaking marathon. Over five days, it set new lap times on five state highways. The car also covered over 1,600 kilometers on public roads between runs.
The Czinger 21C is equipped with a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine and a 4.4 kWh battery. Combined output is 1,350 horsepower, and a top speed of 407 km/h (255 mph).
Many of the hypercar's parts are 3D printed, reducing weight. Records were set at Thunderhill Raceway, Sonoma Raceway, Laguna Seca, Willow Springs Raceway, and The Thermal Club.
Each lap was measured by RaceLogic's VBox GNSS system and confirmed by independent witnesses. Overall, the Czinger 21C improved on previous records by 16.26 seconds.
