In the US, a female bear visited a store and attacked a 90-year-old shopper (6 photos + 1 video)

In Vernon, New Jersey, a female black bear visited a store. The 180-pound black bear left the store before police arrived, but returned two hours later and began terrorizing a neighboring restaurant.





The owner of the store called the police, reporting that the bear had chased his employees and attacked a dog.

The bear then returned to the Dollar General store, where it attacked a 90-year-old woman and scratched her leg. The horror ended when a real estate agent intervened and brought the bear outside.









In the video, local resident Sean Clarkin escorts the troublemaker away.

The 65-year-old man's voice is tense, but he tries to remain calm. At the end of the video, Clarkin can be heard yelling, "Get off me!" and ordering everyone to get into their cars.

The man told the New York Times that he went to the store to buy cleaning supplies and encountered the animal.

Restaurant owner Aaron Glading told the publication that he took his dog to the vet after the attack.

"The bear pushed my dog, but didn't even bite her—no scratches, nothing," he said.

Police officers soon arrived on scene and found the female black bear in the parking lot. They followed her and decided to euthanize her.

The New Jersey Fish and Wildlife Service seized the animal for rabies testing.
