The updated Geely Monjaro received a new interior (9 photos)
Geely has opened pre-orders for the new Monjaro in China. Relatively minor changes to the exterior design are combined with a significantly improved interior and a more powerful engine. The SUV is currently priced between 159,700 and 179,700 yuan, but a slight price reduction is expected before the start of direct sales.
On the outside, the 2026 model year crossover is most easily identified by its front bumper with larger air vents, which boasts a more aggressive design. The Monjaro also features different wheels. The model's dimensions have been minimally impacted by the modifications: with a length of 4,795 mm, the wheelbase is 2,845 mm.
The main change to the interior is the dashboard. Previously, two displays were integrated into it, but now they are installed independently. The screen size has been increased to 14.6 inches each, with the instrument cluster measuring 12.3 inches. The media system runs on the Flyme Auto operating system and is accompanied by 16 speakers. The central tunnel's architecture has been redesigned, including a new transmission selector.
The transmission itself consists of an 8-speed automatic transmission and a BorgWarner all-wheel drive system. The Monjaro is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, boosted to 272 horsepower. The crossover's chassis has been updated, with recalibrated adaptive dampers. As a result, according to official data, the SUV's body roll resistance has improved by 23%, and ride comfort has improved by a third. Finally, the Monjaro is equipped with the new G-Pilot H3 driver assistance system with 26 sensors. This isn't the most advanced modification in Geely's lineup, but it will allow the new model to autonomously drive on highways and park.
Direct sales of the updated Geely Monjaro in China are scheduled to begin at the end of September.
