The protesters have already declared that the country has come under their control.

In Nepal, protests that turned into bloody clashes with the police led to the collapse of the government. The protesters managed to break into the territory of the presidential residence and set it on fire. The head of state Ramchandra Paudel was evacuated, other high-ranking civil servants were less lucky. They were unable to escape from the crowd and were beaten.

According to unconfirmed reports, the head of the Congress and the country's Finance Minister Prasada Paudel were also hit. The latter was beaten and thrown into the river, and is now being held hostage by protesters.

Just a few hours before his resignation, Nepalese Prime Minister Sharma Oli called on protesters for peace and restraint, asking them not to escalate and establish a dialogue. But no one listened to him. Over the past few hours, the "revolutionaries" have set fire to the parliament, the residence of former Prime Minister Khanal, the office of the Attorney General and the district court of Kathmandu, the building of the largest media center, and a private school belonging to the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In addition, the houses of former and current politicians were set on fire.

Thus, it is reported that at the time of the arson, the wife of 75-year-old former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Arzu Rana Deuba (Nepal Foreign Minister), was in the residence. The police were able to fight off Bahadur, but his wife received severe burns and later died in the hospital.

After the beating, the Finance Minister was continued to be mocked in the river

According to some reports, the Prime Minister of the country was asked to leave his post by the Army Commander General Ashok Raj Sigdel. He said that the military would be able to stabilize the situation only if he left his post. Later, information appeared that the President of the country had also resigned, the protesters managed to announce that the country had come under their control, but the office of the head of state denied the information about the resignation.

Bhairahawa Airport

The media reports that ministers and senior officials are fleeing the country en masse: 12 helicopters took off from the territory of the government quarter of Bhaisepati and headed to Tribhuvan International Airport. The Prime Minister plans to fly to Dubai. Protesters want to disrupt the work of the airport and through social networks call on like-minded people to launch fireworks, drones and use laser pointers to interfere with aircraft.

The reason for the protests in Nepal was the decision of the government to ban the use of all social networks in early September, including YouTube, X (Twitter), Reddit, Facebook and Instagram. On August 28, the Nepalese authorities gave the owners of major global online platforms seven days to submit official applications to register their companies in the country, as well as to open official representative offices. However, the demands of the Nepalese authorities were ignored, which is why the social networks were blocked.

We will add that the blocking of social networks was only the last straw and the reason for the protests, and their causes are rooted in people's dissatisfaction with the state of economic affairs in the country.

It is reported that the backbone of the protesters are young people aged 15 to 25, which is why the protests were called the "Revolution of Generation Z". According to media reports, 22 people died during the riots, and several hundred were injured. We will add that the country's authorities lifted the blocking of social networks after information about the first deaths, but the crowd was already unstoppable.

They write that the protesting zoomers want to appoint rapper Balendra Shah Hypanul as prime minister, who has become a legend for local youth thanks to his songs about the hard life in Nepal
