A UK resident was shocked when he went to the toilet in the middle of the night and ran into an unexpected "neighbor". A snake that had escaped from its owner was hiding in his bathroom.
The man immediately called specialists from Invicta Environmental Ltd, because the reptile had hidden in a box with a sewer pipe. A team led by Norman Smith arrived at the scene and safely removed the snake.
The animal was later returned to its owner, who lived nearby. According to the company's representative Jack Edwards, cases with reptiles in Britain are rare, but escapes from captivity make their search difficult.
"Snakes love narrow places, so it is difficult to find them. It is good that the owner of the house called us immediately, and we were able to quickly return the animal," he explained.
The specialist also noted that although the company does not specialize in catching snakes, the team is always ready to help in such situations.
The company noted that attempts to catch a snake on your own can be dangerous for both humans and the animal itself. Experts advise keeping a distance and contacting specialists who have the necessary equipment and experience.
"Doing it yourself can cause injury or stress to the animal. It is much safer to call a professional service," Invicta Environmental Ltd. noted.
Specialists also drew attention to the need for enhanced security in enclosures for exotic pets. Owners are advised to carefully check even the smallest cracks, as snakes are capable of compressing their bodies and squeezing through very narrow openings.
