What a "shark sneeze" looks like

In the sea, a diver could indeed accidentally film a phenomenon that can be metaphorically called a "shark sneeze", but this is not a real sneeze in our understanding. Most likely, this is due to the peculiarities of shark behavior and their respiratory system.

Sharks are forced to constantly move so that water passes through their gills and provides breathing, since they do not have a swim bladder. Sometimes, with a sharp movement or change in direction, water can splash out of the gill slits, which can look like a "sneeze".
