The office romance between Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and the company's HR manager Kristen Cabot was suddenly revealed. The couple came to a Coldplay concert and listened to the next song, hugging and swaying to the music. When the video of them appeared on the big screens of the Gillette Stadium in Boston, the lovers were taken aback and quickly peeled themselves away from each other. Byron, confused, climbed somewhere down, away from the camera, and his passion turned away from the annoying attention of the operators.
"Oh, well, either they are having an affair, or they are just very shy," Chris Martin, the frontman of Coldplay, described the scene, but the reality turned out to be much more prosaic.
Only 66 thousand viewers of that very concert and another 12 million who watched the video on TikTok in 9 hours witnessed this incident.
After the video spread across various social networks and, of course, Meg Byron, who at that time was busy with the house and children and did not suspect her husband's infidelity, found out about her husband's affair.
Immediately after this, Meg removed her husband's last name from her social networks, leaving only his maiden name, and then completely deleted her accounts.
As a result, the scandal can bring Byron not only reputational losses and deprive him of his post in the company, but also make him a free man, from whom half of his fortune will be taken away. A number of media outlets have announced the amount that his deceived wife could receive upon divorce - $35 million.
It is known that Byron became the CEO of the New York company in July 2023, and Cabot took the position of HR manager of the company in 2024. Astronomer is engaged in the development of analytical solutions and the implementation of AI in business processes.
