Ukrainian crew of German Skynex air defense system destroys Russian attack drones

A video recording has been published online, which shows fragments of combat work by the Ukrainian crew of the German Skynex air defense system. As reported by Censor.NET, the recording shows the destruction of six Russian attack drones during an enemy attack.

"The Skynex anti-aircraft artillery system with a 35-mm automated cannon in service with the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This system shows impeccable results in the destruction of enemy attack UAVs," the commentary to the publication notes.

Skynex is an anti-aircraft artillery system developed and manufactured by Rheinmetall Air Defence. Skynex is a networked air defense system with an open architecture, the main armament of which is the remotely controlled automated 35-mm Oerlikon Revolver Gun Mk3 anti-aircraft cannons. These guns have an effective firing range of about 4,000 meters and are capable of hitting not only "traditional" aerial targets (such as aircraft and helicopters), but also drones, artillery shells, mortar mines and precision projectiles. The development of the system continues: work is underway on new detection means and the integration of new weapons into the Skynex system. The Skynex air defense system was presented in November 2021. It is in service with the armed forces of Ukraine and Qatar.
