Barney looks good and has a good appetite, the volunteer adds. Fluid was taken from his nose and sent for testing. The tests did not reveal any cancer.
“I tested him and found that Barney had a cryptococcal infection, which I thought could have caused this,” Lynsey notes.
The cat is on medication. He is on medication for seven days, then off for the next seven days, and so on. “We can already see the difference. He is such a calm cat. A real hero.”
