A mysterious dome fell from the sky in the US (3 photos + 1 video)

After a severe storm swept through Indianapolis, locals discovered an unusual object — a large dome-shaped object that had ended up on the road. This strange artifact quickly attracted the attention of passersby and motorists. On Wednesday morning, a crowd of curious people gathered around it.





“Our sidewalk has become a tourist attraction,” Sandy Jones said.

According to preliminary assumptions by locals, the dome could have been a fairing — a protective structure used to cover satellite dishes and other equipment from bad weather.



As it turned out, nearby, on the territory of the former Raytheon plant, there is a company called V2X Technology, whose employees confirmed that the object really belonged to them. According to them, the dome served as protection for one of the company's antennas.

However, neither the company's representatives nor the city authorities can explain how the storm moved the massive structure from its installation site directly to the neighboring street.



Now the object remains lying in the same place, attracting the attention of city residents and tourists.
