The world’s largest Legoland was built in China

In Hainan Province, a man left his naked children in a tricycle in the middle of the street under the scorching sun. One of the children was sitting in an iron cage. Passersby noticed the children and called the police, suspecting abuse or child trafficking. The news caused a strong reaction on social media and collected tens of millions of views.

The man explained that he left the children unattended because he needed to eat. According to him, he could not simultaneously look after six children and his wife with a cognitive impairment. The father explained that the cage was intended to store clothes, and the child climbed into it himself. According to him, the children were naked because of the heat.

The family lives in poverty: the couple with six small children travel around China on a converted double-decker tricycle and survive on odd jobs.

The authorities temporarily placed the family in an assistance center, where it was confirmed that the children are physically healthy. However, the police pointed out to the father that such methods were unacceptable and called for ensuring the safety of the children without violations.
