A “smart” shower with foam mode has been created in Japan

A bear about 1.2 meters tall came out of the forest and came across the airport, after which it decided to take a walk along the runway.

For a long time, the animal could not be driven away, so air traffic controllers had to cancel dozens of flights. Moreover, the authorities were forced to suspend air traffic twice, since after a short disappearance during the day, the bear returned to the runway again.

A video of the bear appeared online. The footage shows the animal running away from a car with a flashing light.

Airport representatives said that they were in a "hopeless situation."

As the publication notes, the number of collisions between people and bears in Japan has reached a record high: from April 2023 to April 2024, 219 people were attacked, as a result of which six people died.

Bears have increasingly entered urban spaces due to the climate crisis, which is affecting the duration of animals' winter hibernation and their food sources, scientists say.
