The fate of two Zevs: where did the actresses of "Lexx" disappear - the stars of the strangest cult series of the 90s? (16 photos + 1 video)
"Lexx" was one of the strangest and most memorable space series. It wasn't as popular as "Star Trek," but it gained a huge fan base and popularity that larger projects couldn't boast.
Filming took place in Canada and Germany in the late 90s, an era when series were made only by TV channels and major studios. The premiere took place on April 18, 1997, and viewers were immediately immersed in the crazy world of "Lexx" - a living starship in the shape of a giant dragonfly.
The Killer Ship and Its Crew
The Lexx is not just a transport, but a sentient weapon capable of destroying an entire planet with one shot. It was created by His Divine Shadow, a tyrant from the Universe of Light (which, despite the name, is more reminiscent of a terrible dystopia).
The main characters and random fellow travelers on this ship are Stanley Tweedle, a cowardly technician who escaped execution, Zev Bellringer, a love slave programmed to fall in love with any man nearby, and Kai, a resurrected killer, the last of the warlike Brunnen-G race.
Zev first falls in love with Stanley, but after Kai's resurrection, she switches to him. This is how their chaotic journey begins.
Two actresses, one role
Viewers remember Zev the most - a beautiful, mysterious and slightly tragic heroine. In the first two seasons, she was played by German actress Eva Habermann. However, the role was later transferred to Xenia Seeberg. And fans are still arguing about whose version of the character turned out better.
Eva Haberman: The First Slave of Love
Born in Hamburg in 1976, Eva first appeared on screen at the age of 5: the little girl starred in the children's series "Music Box". But it was "Lexx" - her first adult project - that brought her real fame.
After 2 seasons, Eva unexpectedly left the series, dreaming of a Hollywood career. In 1999, the German Maxim named her third in the list of "The Sexiest Women in the World". But the girl never made it into the big screen.
The actress's only short marriage quickly ended in divorce.
Today, 49-year-old Haberman is still beautiful, starring in German projects, in particular, in horror films, and plays in the theater. In short, she leads a standard life for a middling celebrity.
The actress recently released a song and a video. But for millions of fans, she will forever remain the same Zev from "Lexx".
Ksenia Zeeberg: The Character's Second Life

When Eva left the series, the creators were in a panic looking for a replacement. The fate of the role was decided by chance: director Paul Donovan noticed Ksenia at the New York airport.

The 23-year-old actress (born in 1967), who had already starred in the cult film Knockin' on Heaven's Door, set a condition: "I'll play Zev my way." And she turned the love slave into an eccentric, almost comedic heroine.
The fans initially rebelled, but eventually fell in love with this version.

Today, 58-year-old Ksenia is as beautiful as her colleague and predecessor on the series. Her marriage to actor Sven Martinek ended in divorce. The woman is raising her only son. Last year, she broke up with the man she had been dating for two years due to difficulties in communication and attitude towards her child.
"My son is always more important to me. I can't turn a blind eye to someone insulting my child. We all know that he has a growth problem, and he himself realizes it. But when someone starts to mock him, saying that he "still looks 12", it is absolutely unacceptable."

In a recent interview, Ksenia shared her health problems with fans:
I have a serious problem with my adrenal glands. Because of this, a hormone is released that shouldn't be in the body in such quantities - aldosterone. Usually, it is produced only in extreme stressful situations or when the body is close to dehydration. Therefore, I am constantly thirsty, drink a lot of water, and have become much more nervous and tense than usual.

The series ended long ago, but its heroines remained in the hearts of fans. And "Lexx" is still considered one of the most unusual science fiction projects in the history of cinema.

Did you like Zev better as played by Haberman or Seeberg?
