A US student won the 100m hurdles by doing a tumble at the finish. She clipped the last hurdle, fell, but recovered in time.
Brooklyn Anderson, a former gymnast, had a good lead over her competitors when she clipped her knee at the last hurdle. She wouldn’t have had time to get up, so she did a tumble as she fell and still finished first. “I wasn’t sure how far behind everyone else was. I just knew I had to keep moving because I wanted to be first,” Anderson said. Anderson finished the race in 14.93 seconds.
