Denmark has set a record for the G20 and the EU by raising the retirement age to 70. Most often in European countries, people retire at 65, although recently there has been a trend towards raising the age. In Greece and the Netherlands, for example, it is 67 for both men and women. The same picture is observed in Australia, which, of course, is not part of Europe.

But in Sweden, France and Slovakia the retirement age is lower - 63 and 64 years, respectively. If we consider all the countries of the world, then in India you can retire at 60, although it all depends on the area of employment and region of residence.

Interestingly, in most countries the retirement age is the same for men and women. The exceptions are Turkey (60 years for men and 58 years for women), Poland (65 and 60 years) and some Latin American countries.

As for raising the retirement age, Denmark is not the only country that is acting in this direction. It is known that upon completion of the reforms, in Belgium, Germany, Spain, Slovenia it will increase to 67 years, in Indonesia, Latvia (already this year) and Lithuania - to 65 years, in China - to 63 years for men and to 55 for women - representatives of blue-collar professions, to 58 - for office workers. It is also interesting that Austria, Romania, Croatia and Switzerland decided to raise the retirement age only for women - all to 65 years. Apparently, within the framework of the equality policy.
