A British tourist has been rescued in Rio de Janeiro. Airport worker Jensen Sturgeon was trying to dig the deepest hole possible on Brazil's famous Copacabana beach when he hit water and got stuck. More than 30 people rushed to help the 22-year-old "builder".
Rescuers, vendors, and vacationers dug holes, threw sticks and ropes, but could not free the guy. The rescue took more than 3 hours. During this time, Jensen became the center of attention on the beach, and he was even given a beer to drink to maintain his strength.
Eventually he was pulled out. Tourist admitted that he was afraid to die.

On the way home, the Briton told about how scared he was by this incident: “I’m Jensen from England, the one who got stuck in the hole. I dug a 2.5-meter hole and already thought I was going to die. Luckily, I met kind people. Thanks to the people of Rio who helped me out.”
