People saved pig from slaughter because it loved snowfall

A pig nicknamed Grutu from the village of Bakuriani in Georgia lived in a dilapidated building and loved to look out onto the street. The moment with Grutu admiring the snowfall was captured on video and made the pig famous.
Volunteers decided to help the pig avoid the most likely fate for her. They collected 1,626 lari to ransom her from her owners. They spent part of the money on transporting the animal from Bakuriani to Tbilisi. The pig was placed in a private house with a large yard along with other animals. The new owner hopes that the pig will live a long and happy life with her.
