In the US, veterinarians put on bear costumes for an orphaned bear cub
The cub was found alone in the Los Padres National Forest on April 12. California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) specialists conducted a thorough search, but were unable to locate his mother. Thus, the cub became an orphan and was taken to the center for rehabilitation.
From the very beginning, the cub arrived in poor condition - weak and underweight. However, thanks to round-the-clock care, regular feeding and professional medical support, his health stabilized, and now he is actively gaining weight and developing.
To avoid forming an attachment to people - which can complicate his further adaptation to the natural habitat - the center's staff uses camouflage suits of bears. This method allows imitating maternal behavior and preserving the cub's wild instincts.
