A Chinese programmer has admitted that he has been living in a car for 4 years. And this is despite the fact that he has a house!

Chinese people living in cars

I have already written about this phenomenon, quite a lot of workers living near big cities, and most importantly, factories, make a living from it. Dormitory space is incredibly expensive "in season", and you want to send home more money.

I already wrote, this is just a worker from the factory

That is why migrant workers often buy a gas burner and wash in the showers at work (if there are any). It turns out very cozy (for girls), although it is not always safe for girls. But another matter is the wealthy layer of the Chinese population. Chinese programmer Zhang Yunlai shocked many by telling that, despite the fact that he has a four-story house in his hometown, he has been living in his car for four years. The man is already 41 years old, he was born in Yangjiang, but moved to Shenzhen for work six years ago. And so he had to rent an apartment in a new city for 2,500 yuan a month.

This is him, a very decent-looking, clean guy

Until one day on the weekend he went camping for an overnight stay. And there he realized that his electric car had enough space to make himself a comfortable campsite. The main thing was that there was enough space for a mattress. The air conditioner is already built into the car, so it is quite comfortable to sleep. And so on weekdays he eats at the company cafe after work, takes a shower in the gym and goes to the charging station for his car. Then he finds a quiet place in the park, where he folds down the back seats of the car, unfolds the mattress and sleeps.

He unloads the dirty laundry and takes it 300 kilometers

Programmer Zhang also said that the park has "five-star" public toilets where he can wash himself. On weekends, he takes the laundry home to another city. After all, Zhang has a 4-story house with an area of 400 square meters. And with this lifestyle, his average daily expenses are about 100 yuan 100 yuan, including food and other expenses. Parking costs around 6 yuan per night, with an additional 20 yuan per day for office parking.

YES, IT'S INSIDE THE CAR TOO Girl makes frilly house for herself

However, Zhang insists that his car-based lifestyle is not motivated by financial hardship. He chose to live like this simply because he enjoys the lifestyle and feels free.

"I don't have any financial pressure. Even if someone offered me free rent, I wouldn't move. The park environment is much better than a typical apartment, and it gives me freedom," he said.

At least this girl lives in a minivan, not a small electric car

But he admits that his lifestyle choice has saved him about 100,000 yuan in three years. He himself earns several tens of thousands of yuan every month. He goes home every week not only to do laundry, but also to spend time with his family.

"It's a 300-kilometer trip, but I manage to spend three nights a week at home. Being in Shenzhen is purely to earn more money," Zhang said.
