The management of Deloitte, the largest international consulting company by number of employees, used a harsh method to find out who is really working hard and who is just sitting around in the New York office. Employees were sent a message that free pizza was being handed out on the 24th floor.



60 people swallowed this bait and rushed for the coveted freebie. But instead of a free treat, the insidious HR department was waiting for them with a notice of dismissal. They said that since you have “extra time” for such nonsense during the workday, you are welcome to leave with your things. As a farewell, everyone was given a $5 coupon for a pizzeria.
