Unmanned forces destroyed three Buk anti-aircraft missile systems of the Russians within 12 hours
Ukrainian soldiers destroyed three Buk air defense systems of the Russian occupiers in the Kursk region within 12 hours. This was reported by the Unmanned Systems Forces, Censor.NET reports.
Thus, the operation was carried out by fighters of the 413th separate battalion of unmanned systems "Raid" of the SBS in cooperation with the combined detachment of the BPS "Shmel" of the 78th Airborne Assault Regiment.
"The pilots carried out precise strikes with FPV drones on the Buk-M2 launcher (PZU), which the enemy camouflaged in a forest belt. This led to the detonation of the missiles and their destruction.
The battalion operators also destroyed two Buk-M3 air defense system launchers, damaging their radars. The radar is a key element of the air defense system, which is designed to "illuminate" air targets and guide missiles. Its destruction undermines the combat capabilities of the complex," the report says.
The SBS recalled that the cost of the complete Buk-M3 system is approximately $45 million.
