A Woman Fought an Alligator to Save Her Dog (3 photos + 1 video)
According to Kimberly Spencer from Florida, she and her pet Kona were walking quietly near the water when an alligator suddenly appeared from the depths. The predator attacked with lightning speed, biting into the animal. Despite her natural fear of reptiles, the woman did not lose her head.
"I jumped on his back and literally pried his jaws open with my hands," the owner says.
After freeing the dog, she continued to hold the alligator's mouth closed until it retreated back into the water.
Both participants in the incident received injuries. Kimberly sought medical attention for bites on her arms, and Kona underwent surgery - vets put stitches on her injured shoulder.
"I couldn't let him take my baby. I couldn't live with myself if something happened to her in front of me," Spencer shared her emotions.
