Rare photos of Fidel Castro and Ernesto Che Guevara

Guerrilla leader Che Guevara is a Latin American revolutionary and comandante of the Cuban Revolution, of Argentine origin.





In the photographs presented by Norka Korda, you can see the Cuban leader and comandante Guevara fishing, playing golf, and talking with the philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre.

The daughter of the famous Cuban photographer Alberto Korda (aka Alberto Diaz Gutiérrez) is selling a collection of vintage photographs of Fidel Castro and Ernesto Che Guevara. Korda was the personal photographer of the Cuban leader and accompanied him on state trips for 10 years.

The collection includes 55 black-and-white images taken by the political photographer in the 1950s and 1960s.

All the photographs were signed by Korda himself. He served as Castro's personal photographer and died in 2001 at the age of 72.
