A real pro: a man showed off his snake tamer skills to a king cobra
Indonesian blogger and snake researcher Panji Petualang has published a video in which he shows his skills with a king cobra. Online users expressed admiration for the man's actions.
The footage shows the man sitting in a yellow T-shirt and blue jeans, crouched in front of a giant cobra and not making any sudden movements. As an experienced snake handler, the man touches the snake's head, which reacts, but not aggressively, despite the fact that the cobra continues to watch the handler.
Panji Petualang is also an extremely famous Indonesian blogger who studies changes. In his videos on YouTube, where he has more than 10 million subscribers, the man shows reptiles and also advises on how exactly to handle snakes, what you should know about the species that live in Indonesia, and how to provide first aid for bites.
However, this 15-second video stunned social media users. Most users noted Mr. Petualang's incredible skills and also commented on the snake tamer's behavior.
"The cobra only approves of those who have a pure soul," wrote one user.
Another noted that the tamer shows others that they should not make sudden movements or provoke the reptile in front of the cobra.
"If you remain calm in front of the cobra, it will also react calmly! Snakes only attack in self-defense or when you threaten them," wrote another user.
A third user notes that, seriously, this man has "nerves of steel and incredible composure, as well as a strong and positive aura."
"I don't know what to say. The guy is too calm to be a friend for this cobra. This shows how professional he is in his field," another subscriber commented on the video.
