King cobra and python have a battle on the pond
A man called animal control after he saw a deadly fight between a python and a cobra near his home.
59-year-old Surapong Chomphupruk, living in the Thai province of Chonburi, having discovered two reptiles near the river bank on June 5, not far from his home, did not intervene in the dangerous confrontation and called rescuers.
Representatives of the environmental organization who arrived on call caught both snakes and, placing them in different bags, released them far from each other and away from the village.
“I saw a king cobra attack a python that was struggling to crawl out of a fishing net. I knew that I couldn’t help the snake, so I called rescuers for help, who removed both uninvited guests from the pond,” commented Surapong Chomphupruk on the story he filmed.
