A homeless person was rescued in the USA a dog who got his face stuck in a bucket of cheese balls (7 photos + 1 video)
The dog is believed to have been without food or water for about three or four days. He is now living in a shelter and may soon find his owners.
Catching the animal, however, was not so easy. The center's staff tracked the dog for several days, but he kept eluding them. At some point, a resident of East St. Louis, Illinois, sent rescuers a photo of the animal and its location. Although GPG staff found the dog the same day, they were unable to catch him again.
The next day, the rescuers returned "with reinforcements." Buckethead, as the dog was called, was caught with a dart with a mild sedative. The bucket of cheese balls was quickly disposed of.

"We don't know for sure how long he was struggling with that bucket, but he clearly went at least three to four days without food or water," said Alicia Vianello, executive director of GPG. "If he had stayed there [face down in the bucket] any longer, it could have been tragic."
While Buckethead was on the run, he avoided people. However, as soon as the dog got to the shelter, he became affectionate and friendly. Now Buckethead is a favorite of the staff.

Now the dog feels well and lives in the shelter. But soon, perhaps, he will be able to find owners.
