Freedom!: A zebra escaped from a Korean zoo (7 photos + 1 video)
Zebra made a desperate escape from the zoo in the capital of South Korea, Seoul. The fugitive wandered the streets for about three hours, until she was discovered. Maybe she just wanted a taste of freedom!
Thursday, March 30, from the Seoul Grand Park Zoo one of its inhabitants, a zebra, escaped. According to representatives zoo, the animal wandered the streets for about three hours. She broke out of open-air cage to freedom in the afternoon, around 14:50, and went for a walk along the nearest residential area. She was discovered only later.
Animal rescuers were called in to catch the zebra. went to catch it on the streets. They succeeded quickly - the zebra was caught with fence, and used muscle relaxant injections to she behaved calmly. The animal was then loaded into a car and returned safely to the zoo.
The zoo staff said that a zebra named Zero was born in the same zoo in 2021. She has not done it before attempts to escape, but this time jumped over a wooden partition in an aviary, and was released. According to the staff, neither the zebra nor local residents were not injured as a result of her escape.
