A man spent more than 27 thousand dollars on a non-existent girl (2 photos + 1 video)
A guy named Liu from Shanghai lost $27,000 to a girl who turned out to be an artificial intelligence.
Liu transferred almost 200,000 Chinese yuan to the "girl" during what he thought was a whirlwind online romance that lasted two months.
The guy thought he was supporting the woman's dreams of starting a business and paying for her relative's medical bills.
However, it turned out that they were scammers who made fake documents, including an identity card, family medical records and receipts.
The main thing in the scammers' deception was the creation of an artificial girl, whom Mr. Liu considered a real person, because he saw her walking down the street or holding a picture in her hands.
Liu realized that he was being deceived when he still had not met his soulmate after two months of communicating online.
The man called the police, who discovered that the gang consisted of "a team of scammers who sent videos and photos created using artificial intelligence by combining multiple photos."
