A lot of desire, a lot of free time and an old Toyota turns into a Koenigsegg hypercar (4 photos + 1 video)
A replica of the Koenigsegg hypercar was built in Vietnam around an engine from an old Toyota. 
A video about a replica of the Koenigsegg Jesko hypercar in the Attack version was published on the YouTube channel NHET TV. The starting price of the original is about 3 million dollars, but, for example, the donor power unit cost the bloggers only 100 dollars. The replica turned out to be functional, but for obvious reasons it cannot be driven on public roads. 
The Vietnamese version of the hypercar is not based on a borrowed "trolley", but on its own space frame with independent suspension. Its configuration is based on publicly available images of the Jesko. Accordingly, the proportions of the body are also preserved, which would be almost impossible if a borrowed chassis was used. 
To create fiberglass body panels, the craftsmen sculpted a full-size clay model of the hypercar. The developed aerodynamic plumage, which provides the real Jesko with almost one and a half tons of downforce, was also copied from the photographs. Bloggers even built custom lighting equipment close to the original. The coupe doors open forward and upward, like the real Koenigsegg. The interior architecture was also copied in general terms, although its elements are made of cheap plastic, and the displays, apparently, are fake. 
The five-liter V8 on the Koenigsegg develops 1,500 horsepower. The replica turned out to be much less powerful. It is powered by a 1.8-liter naturally aspirated engine from an old Toyota Carina E, purchased for the equivalent of $100. The gearbox and other key components have a similar origin. The final stage was painting in a livery invented by the bloggers themselves.
