The Moment a Meteorite Falls Near a House in Canada Captured on Video (4 photos + 1 video)
A small meteorite crashed into the porch of a house in the Canadian city of Marshfield at high speed.
How do you imagine a meteorite falling? A bright flash, a roar, a crater at the place of impact? In the video, a meteorite at a speed of 200 km/h hit the porch of a house in the city of Marshfield in Canada.
In July last year, Joe Velaydum and his partner Laura discovered gray dust near their house. It looks more like the hooliganism of neighboring boys who launched a paint or chalk bomb into the neighboring yard than a meteorite fall site. Even the tiles are intact.
About seven grams of crumbling rock remained on the street. The owner collected the fragments and sent them to the University of Alberta. There they confirmed that the samples were of extraterrestrial origin and were fragments of a meteorite.
The Canadians also said that this is the first time in history that video and sound of a celestial body falling have been preserved.
