A man received compensation of £5,000 for cutting himself while shaving (3 photos)

During the Christmas holidays in 2024, a 48-year-old Londoner bought a Wilkinson Sword Men's Advance 3 razor for £2.50. He came home and immediately used the razor, which cut both his cheeks.





He started bleeding heavily. The man saw that one of the blades had come off and decided that the razor was faulty. He decided to sue the manufacturer.



“My cuts bled for about 20 minutes. I took action to protect others, because they might not be as lucky as me. It was a matter of principle,” the man said.

The Londoner took a photo of his bleeding face, kept the razor, its box and the receipt. The wounds he received healed for several weeks and turned into scars, after which he contacted lawyers, who contacted Wilkinson Sword.

After checking the goods, the victim, who said that due to an unsuccessful shave he had been tormented by nightmares for several months, was offered to pay 5 thousand pounds sterling to settle the claim out of court. He agreed and now recommends that all people who have suffered from poor quality goods fight for justice.
