It all started when a 42-year-old man named Shamsud Din Jabbar arrived in New Orleans before the New Year. 
He didn't come from abroad, as you might think from his name, but from Texas, where he was born and raised, and he is a U.S. Army veteran. He graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration in computer information systems in 2017, according to the institution. 
At some point in his life, Jabbar realized that the ideas of terrorism and mass destruction of fellow citizens were close to his heart. He bought a gun, built homemade explosives and a pickup truck.
Upon arriving in the city, he chose the most crowded place in the city for his attack - Bourbon Street, a street where townspeople and tourists celebrated the New Year on January 1. There are many shops, street cafes and restaurants there. At high speed, the psychopath in a pickup truck flew into a crowd of people, and then, getting out of the car, he opened fire on those fleeing.
The death toll from the attack has risen to 12 dead, at least 50 injured. City authorities called the incident a terrorist attack. As a result of a shootout with the police, the psycho was eliminated. While they were eliminating him, two police officers were injured.
US President Joe Biden confirmed that Shamsud Din Jabbar was inspired by ISIS.

Before the Americans had time to come to their senses after this news, a mass shooting occurred in the Amazura nightclub in the Queens area of New York. There were no deaths, but 11 people were injured.
According to the New York Police Department (NYPD), none of the victims are in critical condition, and all are expected to survive.
According to preliminary information, the club was hosting a closed private party in honor of a well-known gang member who died last year. The police are investigating what they were fighting about.
