Demanded a refund: an angry buyer rammed a car dealership with his car
The car dealership refused to refund the money for a faulty used Subaru Outback, so the buyer decided to take revenge and drove the car into the showroom.
The incident took place in the town of Sandy (Utah). The Mazda dealer sold a local resident a used third-generation Subaru Outback. Apparently, the used car was sold to the dealer under the trade-in scheme - the owner sold it to buy a new Mazda.
The Subaru Outback station wagon turned out to be problematic - faults were soon found. The buyer wanted to return the car and get his money back, but the dealership explained that this was impossible, because used cars are not covered by the warranty.
The American got angry and threatened to drive the Subaru Outback right into the showroom. Later, he did just that - he flew into the showroom at speed, breaking the glass door.
Fortunately, no one was hurt. The police were called to the scene of the incident and the owner of the Subaru Outback was detained. He was later charged with hooliganism, damage to property and dangerous behavior that created a threat to the lives of others.
