She lost her balance: the newlyweds' vows at the altar were interrupted by a rat that fell from a tree
The video shows the rat falling down the aisle, just a few feet away from the happy couple as they exchanged rings.
Tamara Alsawaf and Joshua Valli tied the knot last Friday. The couple's family, friends and colleagues attended the outdoor ceremony in Escondido, California.
The released video shows the groom beginning his vows with the words "Today, surrounded by our loved ones..." when the rat falls from a tree to the ground and then quickly runs away. Noticing this, Valli said, "Honestly, it was perfect timing," prompting laughter from everyone in the room.
The bewildered newlyweds looked at each other and smiled. In a larger replay, the rat can be seen falling down the aisle, just a few feet away from the happy couple.
In the description of the video, the bride noted: "Ratatouille ruined the wedding. Of course, we will never forget this moment." Apparently, she drew a parallel with the famous 2007 cartoon "Ratatouille".
The funny incident caused a strong reaction among TikTok users. They began to actively joke and ridicule what they saw in the frame, some noted that rats are considered a symbol of wealth in some Eastern cultures.
"This is my mother-in-law, who never received an invitation," joked one of the participants in the discussion.
