A V6 engine was installed in Daewoo Matiz (2 photos + 1 video)
The first generation Daewoo Matiz could never be called a fast or powerful car. In different markets, the hatchback was equipped with engines from 0.8 to 1.2 liters, which produced from 51 to 86 horsepower. However, the owner of such a "Matiz" from Great Britain decided that the compact hatchback lacked both "horses" and cylinders under the hood, and ordered the installation of the largest unit that could fit in the engine compartment. The result of the work of the PowerCrazy Automotive studio was the Daewoo Matiz with a 3.2-liter V6.
The power plant for the hot hatch was borrowed from the catalog of the local Opel sub-brand called Vauxhall, but the roots of this engine naturally go back to General Motors. The six produces 220 horsepower and is paired with a 5-speed manual.
Visually, the car stands out only for the ventilation holes on the hood, the lip under the front bumper and massive 18-inch wheels from Porsche, behind which you can see the enlarged brakes. The latter are a hodgepodge of components from the Ford Focus RS and Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI.
It is noted that the 220-horsepower Matiz is not used for everyday driving. The project is only taken to exhibitions, where it gathers surprised spectators.
