A frightening simulation: what will happen to a person if he falls into a black hole (3 photos + 1 video)
If you've ever wondered what it would be like to fall into a black hole, you've come to the right place. "These objects aren't actually holes. They're huge clumps of matter squeezed into a very small space," explains NASA.
"The gravity at its surface, the event horizon, is so strong that nothing - not even light - can escape. The event horizon is not a surface like the Earth or even the Sun. It is a boundary that contains all the matter that makes up the black hole. There is a lot we don't know about black holes, like what their matter looks like."
This is where blogger Zach D. comes in. He creates videos in which he simulates the most amazing situations.
In one of his creations, he showed what would happen if you fell into a black hole.
"If you fell into a black hole, the gravitational pull would stretch you out. This process is called spaghettization. As you approached, the gravity at your feet would be much stronger than at your head, pulling you in. Then you would pass the event horizon. Time would slow down for an outside observer, but for you, it might speed up. And eventually, you would be swallowed by the powerful gravity. You would merge with the singularity at the center of the black hole and disappear forever into its bottomless depths."
As expected, the comments were filled with horror.
"I think the scariest thing is to die in a way that no one has ever died before. Such a death is unpredictable and terrible," wrote a viewer.
Another added: "I don't know what's scarier - turning into spaghetti or into a model of a person from this animation."
