The incident, which happened a month ago, led to a serious deterioration in her mental health - the woman stopped moving, eating and drinking.
Li's family said that the girl completely lost the ability to go to the toilet on her own and even hold her head up if the pillow was removed. Zhengzhou Hospital doctor Jia Dehuang described her condition as "wooden immobility" and diagnosed her with catatonic stupor, a symptom of depression.
According to the doctor, Li is an introvert and has difficulty opening up to others, which has worsened her psychological condition. The woman has acknowledged her problem and expressed a willingness to work on controlling her emotions in the future. 
The story has sparked a wave of discussions on Chinese social media platforms such as Douyin.

The publication notes that in September, China's urban youth unemployment rate fell to 17.6% from 18.8% in August.
