Majestic sand waves, interrupted by rocky islands, create a landscape painfully reminiscent of earthly deserts. But the main surprise comes from the soundtrack from the Red Planet. Instead of the expected cosmic silence, the rover recorded noise, a bit like the hum of an earthly highway.
