In the US, a police officer called for reinforcements because Burger King employees made a mistake in his order (2 photos + 1 video)

His colleagues arrived at the scene of the "crime" with their lights and sirens on.





The incident occurred back in March 2023, but the media only learned about it now (and for good reason). The footage was shown by the local WSB-TV channel - Sheriff Craig Owens is currently running for re-election. The video was published online by his competitor.

Owens ordered a burger without mayonnaise for his companion, cut into two pieces. When he realized that the fast food restaurant employees had not taken his wishes into account, he decided to call three police officers to the scene of the “crime” — they arrived with their lights and sirens on. Owens himself was in civilian clothes and did not introduce himself as a law enforcement officer.



The footage shows Owens telling his assistant while sitting in the truck: “Hey, do me a favor. I need to know the name of the owner or manager of this damn place.” He added that he was not going to demand money for the spoiled order, but just wanted to file a complaint.

The police headed for the doors of the establishment, but the Burger King employees were so scared that they locked themselves inside. However, at some point they did open the doors.

The sheriff was criticized for abusing his powers. However, in a comment to the TV channel, Owens himself said that it was a normal dispute that could arise with any US citizen.
