Had to call the police: a woman opened a safe bought at auction (2 photos + 1 video)
A girl made a terrifying discovery in an antique safe in her home — it contained ancient photos, daggers, and guns.
Imagine buying a house and then finding a hidden safe that looks like something out of a horror movie. If you've seen the psychological thriller Split starring James McAvoy or any number of other horror movies, you know that any secret passage, room, or locked cabinet that's big enough to fit a person in is never a good thing.
So when a girl discovered a huge locked safe, she decided to call the police out of fear of what she might find inside.
Tiffany Ma of Los Angeles said she bought a house at auction with her partner and planned to turn it into an apartment. However, upon entering the home, they soon came across a safe.
Unable to get inside despite trying to pry it open with various tools, she hired a contractor to drill into the safe and open it.
And when she discovered what was inside, Tiffany made the quick decision to call the police.
In the footage, Tiffany says it took "hours" to open the safe and what they found inside was "insane."
"We found some family heirlooms, like a wedding ring, a bunch of photos that could definitely be used for blackmail. A bunch of rare bills and old coins that were probably worth more than a Birkin, and even a World War II dagger that was for the 'bad guys.' But honestly, the craziest thing we found, I'm not even allowed to tell you because we had to get the police involved," she said.
