DC Comics character Batman has received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He is the first superhero to receive such an honor. 
On September 26, Batman was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The award was included in the category "Movies".
The Dark Knight managed to become the first superhero to receive such an award, although it has been given to fictional characters in the past.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to honor the first superhero to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The one and only Batman!
Fans around the world will be thrilled to learn that the Dark Knight will receive his own award, placed next to the stars of Adam West, who played him in the 1960s TV series, and Bob Kane himself, the character's co-creator.

Batman debuted in 1939 in the 27th issue of the Detective Comics line, after which he quickly gained popularity. The character's adventures have been transferred to the big and small screens many times. They have been adapted into TV series, animated shows, and feature films from famous directors such as Tim Burton and Christopher Nolan.
The star unveiling ceremony was attended by the organizers of the initiative, as well as a certain artist dressed in a superhero costume.
The photos and videos also feature the Batmobile from Matt Reeves' recent film starring Robert Pattinson.
