A Rottweiler tried to impersonate a cat, but got stuck in a door hatch (5 photos + 1 video)
A Rottweiler named "Tank Hank" had a tough day. His massive head got stuck in a cat hatch, and rescuers had to be called in. 
The incident took place in the English town of Kidderminster. Firefighters tried to free Hank from the cat hatch for about 40 minutes.
A photo of Hank stuck in the door of his home was later published by Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service on their website. They wrote: "One team rescued Hank the Tank from a cat hatch. One happy customer." 
A photo of Hank looking miserably at his rescuers has left social media users in awe.
One commented: "This isn't his first rodeo," hinting that this is probably not the first time Hank has found himself in similar situations. Another added: "Hank looks pretty embarrassed," while a third said: "He looks like he'd do it again, though."
Cases of dogs getting stuck in cat hatches are not uncommon. In 2019, the owner of a two-year-old Labrador named Louis called 999 in a panic when his pet got his head stuck in a cat flap around his neck, ramming it. Firefighters had to use a saw to remove the plastic sleeve to free the dog.
A similar incident occurred in 2020, when a Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Jock tried to crawl through a cat flap at his home in Northallerton. He used his strength to get out of the house and into the garden, but the flap hilariously got stuck around his neck.
To Jock's dismay, he needed help from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, who took him to the vet, where he was freed from the uncomfortable "collar" without injury.
In short, the saying "Curiosity killed the cat" worked for dogs in these cases too. And don't stick your nose where it doesn't belong!
