Japanese Man Finds Out His Girlfriend Is 25 Years Older Than Him Only on the Eve of Their Wedding (4 photos)
A 40-year-old Japanese man named Yoshitaka only found out that his girlfriend Aki is 25 years older than him just before their wedding, seven years into their relationship.
The couple met 11 years ago at a bar run by Aki. Yoshitaka was divorced at the time, and was charmed by the Japanese woman’s “mature charm.” “When I talked to her, I discovered that we both had failed marriages, were single parents, and had a lot of common interests,” the man said.
Soon, Aki and Yoshitaka began a relationship, but the woman, afraid of separation, did not reveal her real age. She claimed that she was only 15 years older than the man.
At the same time, Aki gave Yoshitaka the opportunity to find out her age. For example, she left her passport and insurance policy on the table, but in response, the man only asked her to remove the documents.
Aki decided to tell the truth only before the wedding. Yoshitaka responded to her real age as follows: "It doesn't matter to me at all. What matters is that you didn't tell me about it earlier and worried for so long."
After the wedding, the lovers quit their jobs and went on a trip around Japan. Until September 2022, they actively ran a YouTube channel called "Couple with an Age Difference of 25 Years." In it, the couple told 18 thousand subscribers about their life and the services of their mini-company for cleaning air conditioners.
