In California, a bear sneaked into a school classroom and ate cereal bars intended for students
The teacher who discovered the clubfoot "intruder" was very scared and called her husband. He helped to take the animal outside.
A teacher named Elaine Salmon said that at some point she left the classroom to photocopy some papers. And when she returned to the room, she saw a bear in the classroom.
"When I returned to the classroom to open the door, the bear rushed to the door, because, as I assume, he entered, but could not get out," the woman recalls in an interview for the TV channel.
The American was shocked and very scared. But nevertheless, she quickly got her bearings: Salmon ran out of the classroom, locked the door behind her and immediately called her husband Ian. He successfully lured the predator outside.
At first, the teacher was afraid that the bear would ruin the fresh repairs. However, in the end it turned out that only the emergency food kit for earthquakes intended for students was "damaged." The bear found him and ate all the cereal bars.
After the incident, the school administration decided to review the safety rules and install new handles, since, as the incident showed, the bears seemed to have learned to open the doors.
