We'll eat the rich, abolish the police: environmental activists defaced Lionel Messi's villa (4 photos + 1 video)
According to activists, rich people are to blame for the climate crisis, so they decided to "punish" the Argentine footballer.
The next "planet saviors" decided to run into lawsuits. However, the media is now not focusing on the German "Last Generation", which today announced the end of its activities, but on the Spanish Futuro Vegetal ("Plant Future").
Several activists from this movement climbed onto the territory of the villa of the Argentine footballer Lionel Messi on the Spanish island of Ibiza and committed an act of vandalism. They covered the villa's façade with red and black paint, broke windows and smashed several interior items, the media reported.

The environmentalists explained the act of vandalism by saying that their action was aimed against the rich, who are responsible for the climate crisis. And they chose Messi's house because the mansion, located on the west coast of the island, had been empty for a long time.
"The mansion is an illegal structure that the footballer bought for the exorbitant sum of €11 million. The richest 1% of the population is responsible for the same amount of carbon dioxide emissions as the poorest two-thirds of the population," Futuro Vegetal said in a statement.
The environmental activists also distributed a series of photographs. Against the background of their "artworks" they unfurled a banner with the inscription "Help the planet. Eat the rich. Abolish the police."
As far as we know, the police have already started searching for the vandals.
