A police officer saved dogs from a hot car (3 photos + 1 video)
In Las Vegas, a policewoman rescued two dogs trapped in the heat. At the time of filming, it was almost 37°C outside, and the temperature inside the cabin was 43°C.
Jennifer Williams of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department used a police baton to break the glass. Later it became known that the owners wanted to leave their pets in the car for a long time. The dogs were treated and taken to a shelter, and the incident remains under investigation.
Police said in a statement: "Due to the extreme heat and even hotter weather over the next few days, we urge you to never leave pets or people in your vehicles. We want to commend the quick and responsive work of Officer Jennifer Williams. Responding to a call in the area of the Parkway." Lake Mead, she found two dogs inside a hot minivan. There are regulations and laws that protect pets in extreme weather conditions."
“Pet owners are required by law to provide pet food, fresh water and cooling facilities if temperatures exceed 40°C. No pet should be leashed in hot weather during National Weather Service advisories. It goes without saying that pets should be left alone car - even for a couple of minutes - a crime."
